Water Supply Testing
Sanitarians inspect individual water supply systems and on-site sewage disposal systems to evaluate the systems for compliance with applicable laws and sanitary standards. The seller, the buyer, or the lender may make requests for evaluation. Please call Environmental Health at (304) 523-6483, extension 262, to obtain Form SG-55 click the link below. The top half is to be filled out with as much information as possible by the person making the request and returned to the Cabell-Huntington Health Department. A sanitarian will then contact the requester to schedule an inspection of the property. Listed below are links to the West Virginia Bureau of Public Health Office of Environmental Health Services web site for more information on these evaluations. There is no fee for services in Cabell County. The Office of Laboratory Services charges $15 per water sample for bacteriological analysis and a $5 handling fee.
