Huntington, WV – The Cabell-Huntington Health Department (CHHD) will host a drive-through flu vaccine clinic on Friday, October 2, from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. The clinic will take place at the health department’s parking lot, located at 703 7th Avenue in Huntington.
Community members can receive their seasonal flu vaccination without ever leaving their vehicles. The drive-through format provides a quick and convenient way to protect yourself and your loved ones ahead of flu season.
“Getting your annual flu vaccine is one of the simplest and most effective ways to protect yourself, your family, and our community,” said Harley Walden, Director of Nursing. “Our drivethrough clinic makes the process fast and convenient, allowing people to receive their vaccine from the comfort of their vehicle. We encourage everyone who is eligible to take advantage of this opportunity before flu activity begins to increase.”
The flu vaccine is recommended for individuals six months of age and older. CHHD encourages residents to take advantage of this opportunity to get vaccinated early. A limited supply of highdose flu vaccine is available for senior citizens or high-risk individuals.
