Cabell-Huntington Health Department Adds Additional After-Hours Vaccine Clinic Ahead of School Year
Huntington, WV – The Cabell-Huntington Health Department (CHHD) is adding an additional AfterHours Vaccine Clinic on Monday, August 31, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. to provide families with
another convenient opportunity to receive vaccinations and prepare for the upcoming school year.
CHHD will now offer evening vaccine clinics on Monday, August 3, and Monday, August 31, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Cabell-Huntington Health Department, located at 703 7th Avenue in
Huntington. The September After-Hours Clinic will take place on Monday, September 14. No appointment is required.
All childhood vaccines will be available for children who are uninsured, underinsured, or covered by Medicaid or CHIP. Adult and travel vaccines will also be offered during these clinics.
Harley Walden, Interim Director of Nursing for the Cabell-Huntington Health Department, said the added August 31st clinic will give parents and guardians more flexibility as they finalize back-toschool preparations.
“We know the weeks leading up to the start of school can be very busy for families, so we wanted to add another evening clinic to make it easier for parents and guardians to get their children caught
up on required vaccinations,” Walden said. “The August 31st clinic provides an additional opportunity for families who may not be able to attend earlier in the month or who are still completing their back-to-school preparations. We encourage everyone who needs vaccines to take advantage of these convenient after-hours options.”
