Cabell-Huntington Health Department Continues After-Hours
Vaccine Clinics through Summer Months
Huntington, WV – The Cabell-Huntington Health Department (CHHD) will offer two evening vaccine clinics this summer to help families prepare for the upcoming school year and stay up to date on recommended immunizations and meet the needs of community members. The clinics will be held on Monday, July 6, and Monday, August 3, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Cabell-Huntington Health Department, located at 703 7th Avenue in Huntington. No appointment is required.
All childhood vaccines will be available for children who are uninsured, underinsured, or covered by Medicaid or CHIP. Adult and travel vaccines will also be offered during these clinics.
Harley Walden, Interim Director of Nursing for the Cabell-Huntington Health Department, said the evening clinics provide a convenient option for busy families.
“Summer is the perfect time for parents and guardians to make sure their children are up to date on required school vaccinations before the start of the new school year,” Walden said. “These evening clinic hours make it easier for working families to access important immunizations without missing work or school. We encourage families to take advantage of these convenient opportunities and avoid the back-to-school rush.” We also encourage Cabell County residents in need of vaccines to take advantage of these special hours.”
