Cabell-Huntington Health Department Offers Back-to-School Evening Vaccination Clinics
HUNTINGTON, WV — As the new school year approaches, the Cabell-Huntington Health Department will host two special evening vaccination clinics to help families get their children ready for the classroom. The clinics will take place on Monday, August 4, and Monday, August 11, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Cabell-Huntington Health Department, 703 7th Avenue in Huntington.
These clinics will offer all required public school vaccinations for children, including pre-K through 12th grade.
“Our goal is to remove barriers and make it as easy as possible for families to get the vaccines their children need before the first day of school,” said Kathleen Napier, Director of Nursing at the Cabell-Huntington Health Department. “Whether you go to your pediatrician, your primary care provider, or come to the health department, we encourage you to get your child vaccinated. It’s an important step in protecting their health and the health of others around them.”
No appointment is necessary for the evening clinics. Families are asked to bring their child’s current immunization records.
