Cabell-Huntington Health Department Announces Walk In Vaccine Availability for 65+ Population

HUNTINGTON, West Virginia. The Cabell-Huntington Health Department has contacted or attempted to contact everyone on our 65 and older waitlist for the COVID-19 vaccine. Though every person on the waitlist has been called, we understand that due to harsh weather conditions and other factors, calls may have been missed.

As we continue to offer the COVID-19 vaccine to the Governor’s designated priority groups, the 65 years of age and older population remains a priority. In addition to our usual appointments, citizens of Cabell County or the City of Huntington who are aged 65 or older may walk in without an appointment for the COVID-19 vaccine at the COVID-19 Vaccine Center beginning Tuesday, March 23rd through Friday, March 26th from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or until the vaccine supply runs out. The COVID-19 Vaccine Center is located 100 Huntington Mall Road, Barboursville, WV 25504 in the old Sears at the Huntington Mall. Please enter through the main entrance of the building.

This option is also available for those 65 and older at St. Mary’s Education Center drive-through located at 2853 5th Avenue Huntington, WV 25702 on Thursday, March 25th and Friday, March 26th, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or until the daily vaccine supply runs out.

Those who are under 65 years of age and would like to schedule their appointment for the COVID-19 vaccine, please call our COVID-19 hotline at (304) 526-3383.

Please note that vaccine supply continues to be limited. We look forward to serving all community members as quickly as possible.
