Update: Vaccine Appointments
Second Dose Vaccine Update
Those who received their first dose of the Moderna vaccine with the Cabell-Huntington Health Department prior to February 6th or the Pfizer vaccine prior to February 13th can also go to the COVID-19 Vaccine Center located in the old Sears building at the Huntington Mall from between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 3rd through Friday, March 6th to receive their second dose.
These options are only available for those who are part of priority groups who have already received their first dose with the Cabell-Huntington Health Department. Those who are still in need of their first dose will be contacted to schedule an appointment based on vaccine availability.
Vaccine services may have to be postponed in the event of inclement weather. Please monitor our website, cabellhealth.org, and local media channels for updates.
COVID-19 Vaccine Request
As of Monday, January 25, online registration for COVID-19 vaccination is moving to a new location. In collaboration with WV DHHR the Cabell-Huntington Health Department will be utilizing the Everbridge platform for COVID-19 vaccine registration and scheduling.
West Virginians will now have access to a COVID-19 vaccination pre-registration tool available statewide at vaccinate.wv.gov. At this time, West Virginians 65 years of age and older and certain high-risk priority groups who are pre-registered will receive a text, phone call or email with an appointment once it is available to their group and in their geographical area. Those who are not in the current priority groups are able to pre-register online and will be offered an appointment when eligible based on limited supply. If assistance is needed with registration, please contact the WV COVID-19 Vaccine Info Line 1-833-734-0965 (Mon. – Fri. 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sat. 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) or the Cabell-Huntington Health Department COVID-19 Hotline 304-526-3383 (Mon. – Fri. 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.).
ALL West Virginians over the age of 16 are encouraged to pre-register through the West Virginia COVID-19 Vaccine Registration System.
