Complaints

Sanitarians perform routine inspections of Health Department-permitted facilities, such as restaurants, swimming pools, and day care centers, to monitor compliance with public health sanitation requirements. In addition to routine inspections, complaints from the public alert the CHHD to potential environmental health problems in the community. These complaints may be made against businesses, homeowners, individuals, and public property. The complaint is investigated to determine if it is justified as a public health issue requiring corrective action.

Minimum information required is the address or directions and the nature of the public health complaint. Please be assured that all information is kept private and confidential.
